SDV App Store Cup

Code the Drive of Tomorrow

SDV App Store Cup - engineered by SECOR

The SECOR Group is a young, innovative start-up from Munich.
With our SECOR Chips & Library GmbH, we have developed a unique and patent-pending system that addresses the current challenges of the automotive industry (resilient supply chain, R&D China Speed, SDV, …).

Our next milestone is the development of a drivable prototype based on our SECOR SDV CONCEPT :

In order to fill the library with apps that are as creative, functional and beneficial to customers as possible, we would like to invite you to take part in an ideas competition:

SDV App Store Cup

As part of the development of future Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), new concepts and applications are to be created that make intelligent use of vehicle data. This position is aimed at working students (m/f/d) with an interest in system architecture, software concepts and innovation in the automotive environment.

Objective

The aim of the task is to design innovative app ideas that process sensor and actuator data from an SDV. The data is coordinated between the zonal microcontrollers via a message broker and is structured in the Vehicle Signal Specification (VSS) model.

Job description

The app can cover topics such as:

Evaluation criteria

Provision or origin of the test data

Simulated or recorded VSS-compliant test data is made available and distributed via the message broker. Alternatively, public data sets or
simulation environments can also be used, e.g: COVESA Vehicle Signal Specification Samples Eclipse SDV Playground

Example idea

The system learns from a personal driver’s behavior and adapts this in the default setting when the driver is detected in the car. For example: If settings such as interior temperature, seat/steering wheel heating, spring/damper settings, engine map, etc. are set the same five times by the driver under certain framework conditions (outside temperature, weather report, route forecast, sunlight exposure, …), the car uses this data to generate an individual, situational setting based on the driver’s preferences. The next time the personalized driver uses the car, the variable set with the same input is automatically generated.
